Dear ICCSD parent and/or community member:
Below, please find a link to an on-line redistricting survey that will inform the work of the ICCSD’s Redistricting Committee.
As a parent/community member, we ask that you complete the survey to which a link is provided below. There are three versions of this survey: for parents/community members, for district staff (has already been distributed), and for high school students (they are completing a hard copy version at school).
Here are six important instructions for the on-line survey:
- This survey will be open (meaning available online) until 5 p.m. Monday, November 30.
- Once you start the survey, you cannot leave the link and then go back -- although if you would like to change an answer, you can go back and forth from page to page while you are in the survey.
- All answers will go directly to Patron Insight and the district will get a summary report. (Patron Insight, Inc. is the company that created the survey after talking with focus groups of parents, board members, and district staff.)
- By design, the system will only allow one response per computer.
- Printed copies are available from the CAO, if you would prefer to fill out a survey in that format, or if you don’t have access to a computer or the one you have has been used to complete a survey. Just call the central administrative office at 319-688-1000 to request that one be mailed to you. To return your completed hard copy survey, you may mail it back to the district at 509 S. Dubuque St., Iowa City, IA 52240, or bring it to any school site. The staff there will use school mail to send it to Kira Prestegard at the CAO. All hard copy surveys will be sent to Patron Insight, Inc., whose staff will key enter the information into the computer.
