The Children's Center for Therapy will also host an Asperger's Tween After School Program Open House on Tuesday, April 24 at 5 p.m. in the social hall at the Rober E. Lee Rec Center. This program is specially designed for high functioning tweens and teens on the Autism Spectrum who want to have fun hanging out with kids their age, discussing relevant teen topics, participating in physical games and activities like yoga, tae kwon do, and basketball, going out in the community, studying safe Internet usage and Facebook, texting, and working on social skills goals in a safe, engaging way. (The program meets Mondays through Fridays, (3:30-5:30 (Mon, Tue., Wed., Fri. & 2:30-5:30 Thurs).Contact Leslie Huber or Gayle at the Children's Center for more info.
