Grab your walking or running shoes and come join the fun in downtown Iowa City!
The annual Run for the Schools will be held on Sunday October 18, 2009 with events beginning at 8am at the corner of Gilbert and College Streets in Iowa City. This family friendly road race offers a 1/2 mile and one mile FUN RUN, and 5K, 10K and Half Marathon events. All courses are certified by the USAT&F. There is something offered for runners and walkers of all ages. Enjoy a beautiful fall morning with family and friends as we raise critical dollars for our schools.
A portion of race registration fees will go to support all 24 schools in the Iowa City Community School District and help the Foundation's Excellence Fund provide funding for educational activities and equipment throughout the district.
