Please look for the sign up's at the Ice Cream Social on Aug. 18th! There will be sheets for each classroom to sign up to be the PTA liason,and Room Parent or helpers. There also will be sign up sheets to sign up to bring treats to specific parties in your child's classroom.
What's a PTA liason, you ask? It's a parent who gets updates from the classroom on interesting, unusual or unique things that are happening in the classroom and reports it to the PTA at their monthly meetings.
What's a Room Parent? They assist the teacher in carrying out the parties for the classrooms. They generally call the parents to remind them of what they signed up to bring on the sign up sheets. They also attend the party, or find parents to attend, to help out the day of the party. We also have helpers that sign up- who may be one of those parents who normally attends the parties, or could help out, as needed.
Treat sign ups are available for the Halloween Party, Winter Party, Day 100 party, and the Valentine's Day party. I encourage you to sign up- It's a great way to be involved in your child's classroom! (and it's fun!)
